songs for bootleggers

These are the songs I’m directing and how I think the edit should be for them

Moving to New York – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4KHCQ98mzs This song needs quite fast cuts because its a fast song and not to use any fades. it has a beat which would be good to occasionally cut to and uses the guitar as a main instrument with a solo about 3/4 of the way through.

Don’t know why – (Nora jones) This song has a slower pace so slower cuts and possibly fade cuts at times, it is focused on the voice mail so would good to get close ups of the singer.

Santa clause is coming to town – This song tends to start with the keyboard before anything else so would be good to have the camera on there first, Because its a slower song it would be better to hold shots longer and use quite slow movements. There is also a beat that you can cut on if you want, as the song goes on it gets faster at the chorus so can make the cuts faster.

Life is a highway – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gnd2R3zhq7U This song is also quite fast so would need faster cuts and to not use fade cuts, Focusing on the singers when they sing and the band when they’re playing swell as flicking o the audience.occasionally.
